Position Overview
Our Finance Excellence Centre in Lisbon has been successfully supporting our acquired Saa
S companies for the past year, ensuring streamlined financial processes and operational efficiency.
Due to future acquisitions and the Centre’s growing scope and increasing demand, we are looking to reinforce our team with a Junior General Ledger Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting who want to develop their expertise in an international environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support
- end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations. - Assist in preparing financial reports and contribute to annual accounts preparation.
- Work closely with different teams to ensure proper financial transactions and expense allocations.
- Identify discrepancies and support the resolution of general ledger issues.
- Provide documentation and support for audits (annual and
- related). - Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and automation in finance operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance; exposure to international environments or shared service centers is a plus.
- Familiarity with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Fluency in English; additional European language skills are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to
- solving. - Comfortable working in a
- paced environment with a desire to grow professionally.
