Brain is looking for a Gen
AI Engineer to join a
- edge project in the energy sector , focused on designing, deploying, and scaling Generative AI solutions using Microsoft Azure , LLM frameworks , and MLOps best practices.
You will be responsible for the
-
- end lifecycle of Gen
AI-based applications, from design and prototyping to deployment and production, with strong autonomy and a focus on
- scale
- based architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the full lifecycle of Gen
AI solutions from development to production;
Implement Generative AI strategies for predictive and prescriptive analytics;
Explore opportunities for AI adoption across business areas , including integration with EDP's cloud infrastructure;
Independently develop AI-based applications using tools like Open
AI, Azure AI Search and Microsoft ecosystem components;
Contribute to the evolution of cloud infrastructures with an AI-first approach.
✅ Required Skills & Experience:
Programming & Backend
Strong proficiency in Python and API development using Fast
API
Experience working with LLM orchestration frameworks such as Lang
Chain and Lang
Graph
Generative AI & LLMs
Experience building LLM-based applications in Azure ecosystem (Open
AI, Azure AI Search, Azure Cognitive Services)
Familiarity with models like GPT-4 , Gemini 2. 5 Pro , and Claude 3. 7 Sonnet
Experience with TTS , Whisper , OCR , and Embeddings (e. g.

- 3-large)
Deep understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture
☁ Azure Cloud Expertise
Proven experience deploying solutions on Azure Functions , Azure Open
AI , Azure AI Search
Familiarity with Azure Blob Storage , Cosmos
DB , and Azure API Management
Experience with Guardrails , Langfuse , and responsible evaluation practices
⚙ Dev
Ops & MLOps
Proficiency with Docker , CI/CD pipelines , Git
Hub Actions , and container registries
Knowledge of Azure Container Registry , Azure Dev
Ops , Terraform , Vault , etc.
Experience deploying
- grade Gen
AI applications on Azure
Language Skills:
Fluent in English (mandatory)
Portuguese and/or Spanish are a plus
