German-Speaking Specialist - Medical Devices (Porto, Portugal, On‑Site)

We are looking for an experienced German‑speaking Senior Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) Specialist to join a leading global medical‑devices company specialising in diabetes care, based in Porto, Portugal. If you speak German fluently and bring strong finance operations expertise, this is your opportunity to lead critical processes within a dynamic international environment.

What the job is about

• Take ownership of the full Order‑to‑Cash process for German‑speaking markets: order validation, billing, collections, cash application and dispute resolution.
• Lead and mentor a team of O2C professionals, oversee KPIs like Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and ensure collections targets are met.
• Handle complex cases and escalations, negotiate payment terms with customers, and manage high‑impact internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with audit, SOX/internal control requirements, IFRS and tax regulations.
• Drive process improvement, standardisation and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency in the O2C workflow.
• Support month‑end and quarter‑end closing activities, reconciliations and financial reporting to senior management.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Logistics, Treasury, Tax and Finance teams to align on processes and data.

Requirements

• Holds a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Has 5–7 years of experience in O2C, Accounts Receivable or finance operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Possesses deep knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls and compliance frameworks.
• Is fluent in German (C1+) and has strong English communication skills.
• Has solid analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Has experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Net
  Suite or Workday) and advanced MS Excel/reporting capabilities.
• Is ready to work on‑site in Porto with a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule and active involvement in a fast‑moving global business.
