Job Description
Vantiva is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Commodity Manager to lead our semiconductor procurement activities. This strategic role involves developing and implementing comprehensive sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the availability and quality of semiconductor components at optimal costs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy for semiconductor commodities.
- Support supplier selection together with Product Managers, contract negotiations, and new supplier introductions.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with
- functional teams, including engineering, product development, and quality assurance, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives. - Conduct market analysis and prepare reports on market trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with corporate social responsibility standards, including environmental, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost, quality, and supply chain efficiency.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex commercial and supply chain issues.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills to determine market trends and pricing.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Leadership and ease of working in a
- functional environment. - Effective communication and
- building skills. - Proficiency in using procurement and supply chain management tools.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commodity management, preferably with a focus on semiconductors.
- Strong knowledge of the semiconductor market, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a
- paced,
- functional environment. - Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
