About The Role
Our team is seeking a Global Contract Manager located in Spain who will join the Global Contracting team to contribute to the success of the Global Contracting function.
To support Energy Systems in achieving its strategic goals, we have established a Global Contracting team equipped with specialized contract management roles and advanced legal and contractual expertise. This team comprises highly qualified contracting professionals who work closely with the business to drive customer success. The Global Contract Manager (CM) will be an integral part of this Global Contracting team and will report to one of the four Team Leaders in Global Contracting.
The contract management function is a centrally organized risk management role that provides specialized legal advice on contracts related to the delivery of our projects and services. In this position, you will conduct formal legal reviews and risk analyses of customer contracts, advising Opportunity Managers, Key Account Managers, and other levels of Energy Systems management during the
- making process. You will ensure that contracts align with the strategic earning ambitions for each customer and segment, as well as the overall strategic expectations for Energy Systems regarding growth, earnings, and cash flow.
As the point of contact for legal and contract counterparts in customer organizations, you will facilitate efficient internal collaboration and interface management. The Global Contracting team is part of the Finance & Performance (F&P) function and works closely with our regional and global Business Units.
Primary Tasks Of This Role
- Represent Energy Systems in reviewing, amending, and negotiating various contracts, forms, or agreements with customers.
- Support the contracting process and contract management.
- Assess project risks, actively engage in the risk review process for projects, and collaborate with the business on strategies to mitigate risk.
- Provide advice on legal and commercial
- related matters, as well as on other functional responsibilities of the Global Contracting team. - Advocate for and ensure compliance with DNV processes, policies, guidelines, and values.
- Provide training on legal and contract management issues and risks within the functional scope of the Global Contracting team.
- Take an active role in identifying potential process improvements and support the implementation of internal improvement projects.

About You
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in the review and negotiation of contracts that deliver both software and hardware solutions. A candidate with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in delivering integrated solutions, would be preferred.
To be successful in this role you need to have:
- Bachelor degree in law or equivalent,
- 5 - 10 years of relevant work experience as a legal professional or contract manager, preferably in contruction or EPC filed.
- Experience negotiating contracts covering software and hardware integrated solutions is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English; additional skills in other languages are also welcomed.
- Legal skills in a commercial/transactional context, including reviewing and drafting contracts.
- Comfortable working as part of a virtual, global and
- cultural team. - Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex projects.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office.
- Capability of professionally managing confidential information.
- Excellent and clear communicator.
