Global Payroll Specialist – Ebury – Porto Office

4 days in the office and 1 day of home office per week.

About the Role

• End to end processing of bi‑monthly and monthly payrolls as part of a small team.
• Analysis and documentation of each country's control framework and payroll processing guidance.
• Ad hoc project support.
• Manage relationships with various stakeholders (i. e. , Finance, HR, etc. ) and the payroll provider to ensure end‑to‑end process excellence.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
• Performing reconciliations and audit tasks for monthly payrolls.
• Stay up to date with local payroll regulations.
• Support Finance teams with month‑end close and reporting activities.
• Regularly review payroll processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Attend to all escalated and critical payroll‑related issues on a timely basis.

Candidate Profile

• At least 3 years’ experience of processing payroll across multiple countries.
• Experience of working with a global payroll provider/system.
• Experience in working with manual processes undergoing automation transformation.
• Process documentation and control framework building/writing.
• Ability to take ownership of payroll processes.
• Problem solving mindset & positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Excellent language communication skills in English and Portuguese.
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v‑lookup and other formulas).
