The Global Trade EMEA Operations Manager ensures the highest level of compliance with customs and trade regulations. The employee supports the deployment of our Global Trade
- looking strategy that allows for
- proof agility against external trade disruptions and internal evolutions. The Global Trade EMEA Operations Manager reports to the Global Trade EMEA leader.
Responsibilities
- Customs Operations & Compliance
- Set up, harmonize, and optimize customs procedures across the EMEA region.
- Ensure all customs procedures comply with the Syensqo customs model and relevant regulations.
- Monitor customs controls and ensure adherence to internal and external standards.
- Collaborate with external customs brokers to guarantee compliant and timely customs declarations.
- Stakeholder Management & Coordination
- Provide consultancy and promote best practices to Global Business Units (GBUs).
- Coordinate global trade activities with internal stakeholders (tax, procurement, controlling, industrial management, legal, etc. ) according to the internal governance model.
- Maintain regular contact with external partners, including customs brokers, consultants, and freight forwarders.
- Track and report key global trade metrics within the assigned perimeter.

You will bring
- Bachelor or master’s degree in economics, law, international trade, supply chain or similar
- +2 years experience in Global Trade and customs operations
- Knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and international trade compliance
- Proactively identifies issues and implements practical solutions.
- Takes ownership of tasks and drives continuous improvement.
- Responds positively to change and manages multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent level of English (written and spoken)
