About The Job
- The Documentation Drafting and Matching Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the risk undertaken by the business lines, across a wide range of products traded by the Trading desk (Options, Swaps, Forwards, within Oil, Metals, Softs, Energy, Power and Gas, and Equities).
- The Documentation team’s primary function is to support the Trading and Sales desks through the drafting of OTC Physical confirmations for the majority of trades dealt with counterparties.
- The team performs a critical control role in the timely reconciliation of bookings with the confirmations and term sheets, and is responsible for notifying all post‑trade events with clients.
- The team works closely with traders, sales, strategists, IT, Legal, Credit, and Compliance to control, report, and resolve issues promptly.
- The team is involved in process improvements, focusing on STP processing, risk and controls management, new product initiatives, and the development of new business across all regions.
Your Main Activities Are
- Draft legal confirmations based on ISDA definitions for all products including Swaps, Forwards, Options, and Hybrid Strategies.
- Review trade risk bookings and term sheets to ensure accuracy prior to sending documentation to clients.
- Monitor workflows to prioritize confirmations and ensure their timely dispatch.
- Meet regulatory timelines and targets.
- Issue post‑trade event notifications to clients (e. g. , exercises, restructures, partial or total terminations).
- Serve as the internal point of escalation for documentation/template queries.
- Engage daily with customers on discrepancies and assist in redrafting confirmations to meet their needs.
- Resolve discrepancies on incoming confirmations and manage any litigations or affirmation requests from clients.
- Ensure the correct operation of the matching electronic platforms.
- Maintain effective working relationships with Front‑Office Trading and Sales, Legal, Compliance, IT, and other operational areas across London, Paris, Montreal, Singapore, and globally through daily interactions.
Profile and Skills to Success
- BSc degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting (preferable).
- Professional experience, preferably in banking and financial operations.
- Good level of English.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Creativity and innovation.
- Attention to detail and rigor.
