Infrastructure Engineer - Low Latency

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance a global FX Low Latency trading platform operating in a highly distributed,
- critical environment.

Linux (RHEL, SLES)), Python, Shell, Ansible, Puppet

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, this contract role will play a key part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of FX trading infrastructure while working closely with development teams and the wider Client Group.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee client FX trading infrastructure globally, ensuring high availability and performance

- Act as the infrastructure subject matter expert for software development teams

- Collaborate with the Group infrastructure function to support FX business requirements and ensure compliance with Group standards and policies

- Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks to improve consistency across a heavily distributed environment

- Research emerging technologies and contribute to the infrastructure technology roadmap

- Support and maintain
- critical production systems

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong
- on experience with Linux system administration (e. G. RHEL, SLES)

- Experience with OS performance tuning, ideally in
- latency environments

- Knowledge of virtualisation

- Experience working with server hardware, data centre
- outs, and OS migrations

- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Shell, or similar)

- Proven experience supporting
- critical infrastructure in production

Desirable

- Experience with configuration management / provisioning tools (Ansible, Puppet)

- Exposure to Windows and NAS administration

- Background in trading systems or financial services environments
