Graphic/Communication designer

Both as a beneficiary and a service provider, Magellan Circle's team delivers expertise in innovation and research funding, project management, internationalisation, events, workshops, training, communication and dissemination activities of European projects and most importantly drafting R&D policy recommendations with a clear impact on the strategic EU policy decisions.
We work with private and public companies, municipalities and regions, as well as associations and universities, operating in a variety of sectors and along the value chain, to bring them closer to Brussels and leverage their strategies with European programmes, networks and policies. Intending to enhance synergies between European funds and to develop a strategic agenda of collaborative work.
Required:
- Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Media Arts or relevant equivalent experience;
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, visual branding, and content creation, preferably within a corporate or consultancy environment;
- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing strong design skills across digital and print media;
- Proficiency in English written and oral skills (C1 minimum);
- Expert command of graphic design and multimedia software (e. g. , Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, In
Design, Premiere Pro, After Effects); - Proficiency in web design fundamentals and content management tools (e. g. , Wordpress, Canva, Mailchimp);
- Ability to translate complex technical/policy information into visually compelling, clear, and engaging graphics, presentations, and documents;
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines;
Preferential Factors:
- Experience in designing communication materials for EU funded projects (Horizon Europe, CEF-Transport, LIFE, among others) in the fields of Transport/Environment/Mobility;
- Knowledge of Italian is a plus;
- Experience in creating short informational or promotional videos;
- Experience in large scale conferences’ communication material design and production;
- Interest and experience in Artificial Intelligence tools to optimise creative processes;
- HTML knowledge valued;
- Working experience in

- disciplinary environments; - Experience or interest in doing wider comms strategy and campaigns as well (including content and copies);
- Availability to initiate in January 2026.
Main Duties:
The Graphic/Communication Designer will be responsible for the visual identity and aesthetic quality of the company’s corporate and
- related materials. They will contribute to the communication strategy by ensuring
- impact, professional, and consistent visual representation across all channels.
More specifically, they will:
- Design and produce visual assets for EU funding projects and clients, ensuring
- quality, professional document layout and clear infographics for communication, dissemination, and exploitation work packages; - Develop and maintain brand guidelines for new and existing EU projects, ensuring consistency across all visual communications (logos, colour palettes, typography, etc. );
- Design and implement website contents (visual layout, banners, imagery) and manage the visual presentation of social media channels (Linked
In, Twitter, Instagram); - Create a wide range of marketing and communication materials including brochures, flyers, policy briefs, practitioner guidelines, presentations, and communication reports;
- Support the creation of visual content for social media, website and commercial presentations;
- Develop
- impact infographics to translate complex R&D/policy recommendations and project results into accessible and engaging visuals; - Produce and edit short promotional videos and animated graphics for digital dissemination and events;
- Oversee the design and production logistics for printed publications, ensuring alignment with project branding;
- Develop, implement and monitor EU project’s communication and dissemination strategy and activities in collaboration with the team;
- Oversee the planning, the editing, the production and dissemination of project results including public outreach materials such as website, social media, press relations, digital and printed materials;
