What is the job?
As a Groups & Events Executive at Hospes Infante Sagres Porto, you will be responsible for the sales, coordination, and execution of groups and events, ensuring memorable experiences for our clients. This role will play a strategic part in maximizing Groups & Events revenue, developing new business opportunities, and leading the operational aspects of catering and events initiatives.
Your day to day
Groups & Events Management
• Act as the main point of contact for groups and events, from prospecting to
- event
- up.
• Negotiate contracts for groups, meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events.
• Ensure clear communication and alignment with all operational departments (F&B, front office, housekeeping, logistics).
• Coordinate the execution of events, ensuring quality, timing, and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain and strengthen strong relationships with corporate clients and agencies, fostering loyalty.

Business Development
• Actively prospect new business opportunities in the MICE segment (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events).
• Contribute to the definition of commercial strategies and achieve budgeted revenue goals.
• Identify
- selling opportunities and maximize the profitability of each group/event.
• Monitor market trends and propose improvements to enhance the property's competitiveness.
Operational Management & Leadership
• Oversee the functions of the Catering & Events Coordinator, ensuring effective and timely execution of all processes.
• Lead planning meetings with internal teams, setting clear responsibilities.
• Guarantee consistency of service standards and customer experience throughout the event journey.
• Monitor KPIs for groups and events, reporting results and suggesting improvements to the Sales Director.
What we need from you?
• Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in Groups, Catering, or Events roles within hospitality or the MICE sector.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with corporate clients and partners.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
• Leadership ability and capacity to coordinate across departments.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written); other languages are an advantage.
• Knowledge and

• Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
