Hardware & Software Engineering (m/f/d) Guimaraes

We are looking for passionate Hardware & Software Engineers (m/f/d) to join our Software Engineering team. This position is to work at the office / plant.

Overview

Develops hardware and software for
- house test systems; design, develop, and maintain MES applications; collaborate with
- functional teams (product, design, QM, Infrastructure); participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous process improvement; ensure quality, security, and best development practices; define and document training and user guides; validation and approval according to internal and external standards; conduct and apply research and development activities and communicate the results; analyze customer and internal requirements regarding new developments, market trends and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develops hardware and software for
  - house test systems
• Design, develop, and maintain MES applications
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams (product, design, QM, Infrastructure)
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous process improvement
• Ensure quality, security, and best development practices
• Defines and documents training and user guides
• Validation and approval according to internal and external standards
• Conducts and applies research and development activities (theories, principles, and models) and communicates the results
• Analyses customer and internal requirements regarding new developments, market trends and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience with one or more programming languages (VB. net, Python, C#, ASP. net, etc. )
• Knowledge of relational and/or
  - relational databases (My
  SQL, SQL, etc. )
• Experience with Git and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment
• Available to travel max. 2 weeks

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Speak and write in English and Spanish
