Hardware Engineer
Job Title: Hardware Engineer - Product Development
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid (2 days at the office)
Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer, passionate about developing innovative technological solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in the design and implementation of electronic equipment, taking full ownership of the process from specification to production, while working closely with software engineers and product management teams.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Develop hardware for various solutions (e. g. controllers, electric chargers, chips, cards, firmware protocols, connectors).
- Manage projects

- end: from specification to design, prototyping, and manufacturing. - Collaborate with software engineers, project managers, and business analysts to ensure
- functional alignment. - Conduct technical requirements analysis and prepare detailed specifications.
- Identify, source, and select components for each project.
- Assemble and test prototypes to validate equipment performance.
Oversee the prototyping process through to MVP and MMP delivery, in close collaboration with other development teams.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: +5 years of relevant
- on experience - Languages: fluency in Portuguese and English (mandatory)
- Proven experience in hardware development (e. g. controllers, electric chargers, chips, cards, firmware protocols, connectors).
- Hands-on experience with full project lifecycle management from specification to production.
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams (software, project management, business analysis).
- Ability to analyse technical requirements and translate them into clear specifications.
- Proficiency in component sourcing, prototype assembly, and testing.
- Experience supporting prototyping stages up to MVP and MMP.
Complementary Requirements:
- Experience with firmware or
- software integration. - Knowledge of quality standards and product certification processes in electronics.
- Strong
- solving mindset with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. - Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
