We are in search of aHardware Test & Validation Engineer, to join our innovative team as our new#bloqstar. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in you will define and execute the testing and validation framework for Bloq. it’s smart locker systems. You’ll combine mechanical and environmental testing expertise with a strong understanding of product compliance and certification requirements (CE, EMC, LVD, Ro
HS, REACH).
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute mechanical and environmental test plans (vibration, shock, ingress protection, endurance, corrosion, impact, temperature, humidity, UV, etc. );
- Define test protocols and acceptance criteria aligned with design specifications and
- world operating conditions; - Collect, interpret, and summarize test results with clear, actionable conclusions;
- Provide structured feedback to the Mechanical Design, Industrialization, and R&D teams to drive continuous improvement;
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to develop semi-automated or automated setups when feasible;
- Work closely with Mechanical, Electronics, Firmware, and Production Engineering teams to ensure complete hardware validation coverage;
- Coordinated with certification labs to plan, execute, and document required tests.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical or hardware validation, testing, or reliability engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with mechanical and environmental testing.
- Familiarity with product certification processes (CE, EMC, LVD, Ro
HS, REACH). - Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a methodical approach to testing and documentation.
- Solid 3D CAD skills (Solid
Works or equivalent) for fixture and jig design. - Good communication skills, able to interface with multiple teams.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken. This is our working language for cross‑team collaboration.
It would be great if you would also have:
- Experience with test automation or data acquisition systems.
- Familiarity with quality and reliability frameworks (ISO 9001, FMEA, reliability testing).
- Prior collaboration with certification or compliance labs.
