We are seeking a Hardware Test Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Embedded Electronics department within the Innovation Team.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate hardware requirements, schematics, and PCB layouts to define automated test cases for development, prototype, certification, and routine/production tests.
- Define acceptance criteria and measurement limits.
- Collaborate with the hardware design team to develop test interfaces.
- Create test setups for automated testing using lab instrumentation.
- Develop test jigs for
- production testing. - Write automation scripts.
- Conduct functional integration tests, developing software/firmware to interact with the system.
- Plan and oversee the certification process according to EN50155 standards, including temperature, EMI/EMC, shock, vibration, and insulation tests.
- Prepare technical documentation such as Test Instructions and Test Reports.
- Assess testing efforts and plan tasks according to project schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers and development leads.
- Support team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in automated hardware testing.
- Strong hardware debugging skills.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation (Oscilloscopes, Source Meters, GPIO, Relays, Logic Analyzers, Frequency Generators, Counters, etc. ).
- Proficiency in test automation using Python or similar programming languages.
- Solid knowledge of analog circuits (Op-Amps, PLL, ADC/DAC).
- Knowledge of Power Electronics.
- Experience with microcontrollers and FPGA testing.
- Familiarity with serial interfaces (I2C, SPI, JTAG).
- Knowledge of embedded programming languages (Assembly, C/C++, Micro
Python). - Soldering skills.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
