Head Chef for Premium Venue

Responsibilities:
- Launch of a new venue with the aim of achieving Michelin Star.
- Menu autonomy within brief
- Managing, hiring, and training the kitchen staff.
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain or raise our service standard.
- Ensuring consistently impeccable standards of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
- Enforcing kitchen team compliance with standards, procedures, and rules.
- Deal with suppliers and ensure that they supply the highest quality at affordable prices.
- Stock management including supplier liaison, controlling wastage to achieve GP Show initiative, drive and passion, thinking on your feet to handle
- volume shifts. - Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food.
- Oversee the maintenance of the kitchen and its equipment.
- Handling
- related issues. - Managing the schedule of the kitchen and dishwasher teams.
- Maintain records of payroll and attendance.
- Assuming overall responsibility for daily kitchen operations.
- Leading the kitchen team in collaboration with the sous chef.
- Overseeing the food preparation processes.
- Collaborate and manage with the restaurant manager that the guests receive excellent service and enjoy their culinary experience.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (C1 level proficiency). Display effective communication skills in English. The ability to convey information clearly, follow instructions, and interact professionally with colleagues and the public is essential.
- Exceptional cooking skills and a minimum of 6 to 8 years of kitchen experience as a Head Chef.
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, demonstrating strong culinary skills and leadership abilities.
- Excellent leadership, motivation, and people skills to inspire and manage the kitchen team effectively.
- Passionate about food and continually pushing standards.
- Enthusiastic about exceeding expectations through delicious food, working alongside the front of house team to deliver great customer service.
- Financial management experience to control costs, manage budgets, and maintain profitability.
- Good understanding of MS Office for administrative tasks and reporting.
- Familiarity in working with Micros Oracle or another POS platform for order processing and inventory management.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring precision in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
