Role Overview
With an expert understanding of data infrastructure, analytics frameworks, and data management, you will lead initiatives to identify key use cases and business opportunities within the quality and operations domain. Partner with stakeholders and lead a team of engineers, architects, and data experts to define and execute a strategic data journey, ensuring tangible value creation. Your expertise in design, architecture, and data management will drive projects from inception to completion. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential to navigate Siemens’ data ecosystem effectively. You will use your data, business, and domain knowledge to consult and enable Siemens' quality, operations, and supply chain functions to address current and future challenges through data and AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead an international team applying advanced data analytics to advance Siemens' digital transformation in quality and operations.
- Collaborate with management to define and refine the data strategy aligned with corporate goals.
- Drive the implementation of data products and applications within the domain.
- Promote a
- driven culture across Siemens by engaging with data teams and stakeholders. - Develop talent acquisition strategies and identify skill requirements for building a robust data team.
- Improve tools, processes, and team capabilities to deliver on the data strategy.
- Apply agile methodologies in AI and
- driven software development. - Act as a thought leader, mentor, and advocate for the data agenda.
- Leverage cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data warehouses (Snowflake, DBT).
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in IT, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
- Extensive experience in data management and analytics, with a focus on quality and operations.
- At least 3 years leading data teams.
- Domain knowledge in quality and operations; familiarity with Siemens Data Ecosystem is a plus.
- Strong foundation in data infrastructure, analytics frameworks, and data management.
- Programming skills in SQL and preferably Python.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders.
- Knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data architecture.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
