• Develop and implement a strategic vision for technology in both academic and infrastructural systems.
• Support the execution of the school’s technology strategic plan.
• Maintain research knowledge and communicate findings related to effective technology use in education.
• Provide cutting‑edge information to support decision‑making on academic and administrative technology matters.
• Oversee professional development of staff on integrating technology into curriculum.
• Ensure educators and students have access to appropriate technology tools.
• Ensure network and technology resources are used safely and responsibly.
• Oversee all administrative aspects of technology programs and services, including infrastructure implementation and maintenance.
• Own the setup and installation of new equipment for staff and students.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance, determining when external help is needed.
• Allocate and manage resources to support strategic priorities.
• Lead the purchase and acquisition of new technology and equipment, consulting stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry‑standard regulations, including copyright laws and licensed equipment usage.
• Develop and monitor the annual instructional technology budget in partnership with stakeholders.
• Maintain records and inventory of equipment and resources.
• Represent the school professionally in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students.
• Comply with applicable district, state, local, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations outside the standard schedule.
• Contribute to other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

• Hands‑on experience with wired and wireless infrastructure (HP Aruba, Cisco Meraki preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server operating systems and Domain Controllers.
• Hands‑on experience with firewall security practices and content filtering.
• Hands‑on knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewalls.
• Hands‑on knowledge in managing IP–PABX.
• Hands‑on experience managing virtual environments and backups (VMware preferred, Hyper‑V).
• Hands‑on experience with education platforms (O365, Google G‑Suite, Apple for Education).
• Hands‑on experience with mobile device management (MDM).
• Hands‑on experience managing backups.

• English proficiency: first language or demonstrated knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role and 5 years of general technology experience.
• B. S. or equivalent degree in Computer/Technology field.

Direct report: Head of School.

Regional report: ISP Head of Technology Iberia.

• Teachers and staff across the school.
• Students and parents.
• IT service vendors.
• Other technology leads in the Iberia region.

This job is located in Loures (Lisbon area) at Colégio Integrado Monte Maior.
