Head of Accounting & Tax
Department: Finance

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Accounting & Tax to lead the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and tax strategy.
This role is critical in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all financial processes in a dynamic,
- paced tech environment.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting and tax knowledge with hands‑on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), the ability to lead teams, and a high degree of rigor in process optimization. Experience in a Big Four firm is required to ensure strong technical foundations and exposure to best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, revenue recognition, and fixed assets.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual closings.
- Maintain and enforce robust accounting policies and internal controls.
- Lead the audit process with external auditors and manage documentation and compliance workflows.
2. Tax Management
- Corporate, indirect, and employee tax compliance across all relevant jurisdictions.
- Preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax laws.
- Manage tax planning strategies and assess risks and opportunities.
- Interact with tax authorities and external advisors on audits, clarifications, and rulings.
3. Budgeting & Planning
- Lead the preparation, coordination, and consolidation of the annual budget.
- Monitor budget execution and provide periodic variance analysis.
- Partner with FP&A and business units to support forecasting, scenario analyses, and long‑term planning.
- Ensure data integrity and alignment between actuals and budget across functions.
4. Systems & Process Optimization
- Serve as the internal expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), ensuring best‑practice usage across modules.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and integration projects within BC and related systems.
- Support data governance and ensure high‑quality financial information for reporting and analysis.
5. Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and tax team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with FP&A, Operations, Legal, HR, and Product teams to support business growth and strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial insight and technical expertise to support decision‑making and corporate development activities.
Requirements
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, CA, ROC, CTA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a Big Four firm (audit and/or tax).
- 8+ years of total experience in accounting and tax, preferably in tech, Saa
S, or high‑growth environments. - In‑depth knowledge of local accounting standards and tax frameworks.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including configuration, process mapping, and workflow optimization.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

With billions of monthly assistant users and spend shifting away from traditional media, their product helps global brands understand and improve how large language models present them across the funnel.
The team has released an initial product with design partners in beauty and personal care and is expanding the roadmap based on customer needs and rapid marketplace change. The platform programmatically injects thousands of queries into major LLMs to capture, audit, score and interpret responses. Outputs include share of voice by funnel stage, indexation against category attributes, competitive deep dives and recommended actions across priority sources such as Reddit, Amazon and You
Tube. There is a clear twelve month path to profit and multiple potential exit paths.
They are hiring a mission‑driven Product Director to own product definition, UX and the commercial roadmap for an AI brand visibility platform. This person will translate LLM outputs into clear business actions and revenue impact for brand and agency customers. The role suits someone who has played both product manager and product designer and enjoys shaping an early product and its P and L.
A critical part of the role is getting close to jobs to be done across brand and agency users and using market signals to set product priorities.
What you will do
- Own the product roadmap balancing customer needs, technical feasibility and market signals
- Work daily with the CTO, engineering and data science on prioritisation and delivery
