About the Role

The Health and Safety Technician plays a key role in supporting our safety culture by ensuring compliance with regulations, identifying risks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures in alignment with Unilabs standards.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards and proposing corrective actions.
• Participate in incident and accident investigations, ensuring accurate documentation and
  - up.
• Deliver and coordinate training and awareness sessions on health and safety topics.
• Maintain records of safety audits, training activities, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with local managers to foster a proactive safety culture and ensure continuous improvement.
• Assist in the preparation of HSE reports and data analysis for local and regional teams.
• Stay updated on health and safety legislation relevant to healthcare and laboratory environments.

• Technical degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a health and safety or technical role, ideally within healthcare, laboratories, or manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of HSE regulations, risk assessments, and incident management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with HSE management systems is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001) are advantageous.
