CTS Group SA is seeking an experienced, innovative, and resourceful professional to join our team at our Lisbon office. This is a
- time position.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (10+ years) in a health and safety role within the construction industry, preferably in a managerial capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of Portuguese HSE legislation and construction safety regulations is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e. g. , NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Portuguese qualifications).
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to travel frequently across construction sites throughout Portugal.
• Strong analytical and
  - solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies, procedures, and systems across all sites in Portugal.
• Ensure compliance with Portuguese HSE laws and regulations.
• Develop
  - specific safety plans, including procedures for
  - risk activities (e. g. , electrical works, confined spaces, crane operations, hot works).
• Conduct risk assessments for critical systems installation (HVAC, electrical, fire suppression, etc. ).
• Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safety planning for complex technical installations.
• Manage controls for clean room protocols, live environments, and raised floor environments.
• Implement

  - work systems for critical tasks such as energized work and
  - ins to live systems.
• Perform regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and implement preventative measures.
• Train and support site managers and workers in safe practices, emergency procedures, and compliance.
• Maintain safety documentation, including risk assessments, safety plans, training records, and incident logs.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and subcontractors on HSE matters.
• Promote a positive safety culture, encouraging reporting and ongoing education.
• Stay updated with HSE best practices, regulations, and industry trends, updating policies and procedures accordingly.
