Location: Setúbal, Portugal. Permanent, full time, 5 days a week onsite. Salary 40‑65k per annum.

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Manager to uphold our clients' high standards of health and safety across projects in Sines. You will play a pivotal role in implementing safety management systems and promoting a positive safety culture throughout our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Portuguese and EU health and safety regulations.
• Implement and maintain safety management systems on all projects.
• Conduct site inspections and audits, addressing any identified risks.
• Deliver training and toolbox talks to enhance safety awareness.
• Investigate incidents and enforce preventive measures.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies on safety matters.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
• Proven health and safety experience, ideally in construction.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese health and safety regulations.
• Fluent in both Portuguese and English.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working on Civil Engineering projects is preferred.
