About The Role
As a Healthcare Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the technical integration of our platform with healthcare organizations such as hospitals, clinics, and other providers. You will work closely with internal engineering teams and customer IT teams to design, implement, test, and support integrations — primarily using FHIR APIs, and in some cases legacy standards like HL7 v2 or IHE profiles.

What You'll Do
- Lead and execute technical integrations with customer healthcare systems (e. g. , EHR, HIS, LIS).
- Design and configure data exchange using FHIR APIs, HL7 v2, IHE XDS, and other standards.
- Customize and configure integration tools (e. g. , Mirth Connect or custom connectors).
- Partner with product, engineering, and Dev
Ops teams to define, implement, and validate API endpoints, data models, and deployment strategies. - Work with core development and Dev
Ops to make sure interface performance and availability meet Service Level Agreements - Work directly with hospital IT teams and clinical stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into technical implementation.
- Troubleshoot data mapping, message transformation, and connectivity issues.
- Ensure all integrations comply with data protection regulations (e. g. , GDPR, HIPAA).
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and support handover to customer support/operations.
- Provide training or technical support to customers as needed during and after deployment.
- Integration experience with standard message type integration, integrating healthcare systems using FHIR, HL7 v2, REST APIs, or IHE profiles preferred.
- Solid understanding of healthcare IT environments (e. g. , EHR/EMR, LIS, HIS, rules, and regulations regarding data privacy and security.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Mirth Connect, interface engines, middleware, and/or Integration as a Service Platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills (e. g. , analyzing payloads, message logs, API calls).
- Ability to work directly with clients, including technical and
- technical stakeholders. - Experience delivering integration projects in partnership with hospital IT, or provider organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Programming experience (e. g. , Python, Java
Script, or Java). - Familiarity with authentication protocols (OAuth2, Open
ID Connect). - Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, or similar healthcare data regulations.
- Experience working with hospital IT departments or public health institutions.
- Fluency in English, other languages are a plus.
