HR Director (m/f)
Overview
Air Liquide Europe Business Services (ALEBS) was created in 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal with the mandate to provide financial services for Air Liquide European entities. In four years it expanded to over 400 employees based in 3 office locations: Lisbon, Tomar and Guarda. The geographical scope includes entities located in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India, and the operational scope now includes Finance and Human Resources. Air Liquide's GBS Center comprises a dedicated unit focused on defined business functions and operates as an internal service provider for the group.
The HR Director will lead and manage all local human resources functions for our GBS organization in Portugal. This role is critical for navigating rapid growth, ensuring HR strategies, policies and programs align with the Air Liquide Group HR, GBS Operations and Centers of Excellence. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the management team, responsible for building the foundational HR infrastructure to support a large,
- performing and expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & People Strategy: Develop and execute HR strategies that address current priorities and future growth. Advise senior leadership on talent management, organizational design and change management during expansion.
- Talent Acquisition & Scalability: Oversee talent lifecycle with a focus on talent acquisition and retention to support
- volume hiring. Implement scalable onboarding processes for efficient integration of new hires. - Employee Relations & Engagement: Serve as primary contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolving conflicts. Develop and implement engagement strategies to maintain a cohesive culture as the team grows.
- Compensation and Benefits: Collaborate with the TR Co
E to implement and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs. Benchmark compensation to attract and retain top talent. - Training and Development: Create and implement training and upskilling programs. Implement succession plans and talent pipelines to ensure internal leadership.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a growing team of HR professionals, delegating responsibilities and developing their expertise to support a large organization.
Are you a MATCH?
- Education: Bachelor-'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; Master-'s degree preferred
- Experience: Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a shared services environment; strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices with a focus on scalable HR processes
- Skills & Competencies: Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to build credible partnerships with business partners, employees and the Group HR community; experience in a highly matrixed and
- national organization is desirable; strong ability to inspire and develop diverse teams;
- solving with innovative solutions; organized and able to manage priorities; adaptability and decision making; fluency in English and Portuguese
