HR Specialist role at Tech Economy
Role overview and responsibilities for Lisbon GBS office under Bain & Company’s Global Business Services (GBS). The Specialist, Local HR will independently carry out personnel administration for Lisbon GBS employees and management, support HR processes across the employee lifecycle, and apply HR policies to the Portugal market in line with local legislation.
Responsibilities
- Personnel administration: Point of contact for employees, hiring managers, Recruiting Team and external vendors; manage personnel files under Portuguese labor law and Bain internal regulations; oversee lifecycle documentation and processes; provide HR task support; update personnel data and manage performance review cycle in Workday.
- Hiring And Onboarding: Manage
- employment processes including medical check requests and background screening; assist with onboarding, including HR onboarding trainings. - Offboarding: Maintain departure process according to Bain policy and local legislation; lead exit interviews and report insights to the Manager.
- Compensation And Benefits: Prepare monthly payroll input; analyze benefits data and run reports; administer benefits in systems; liaise with external payroll and service providers; participate in process improvements; support teams with program/process expertise.
- Others: Collaborate with Global HRBPs, Experience Talent Recruiting and Centers of Excellence; implement global HR priorities and projects for GBS Lisbon.
Requirements
- University degree (additional education in personnel administration or HR is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR administration/personnel administration and payroll.
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese labor law.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power
Point, and Word skills. - Experience with Workday or other HR administration systems.
- Proficient Portuguese is a must; proficiency in English is required as Bain’s communication language.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a
- paced environment. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong process management and attention to detail; discretion with confidential information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with external contacts as a Bain representative.
