Reporting to the Financial Manager , you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all Human Resources activities, ensuring effective employee lifecycle management, accurate payroll processing, compliance with labour legislation and social audit requirements, and reliable HR reporting. The role aims to support the organisation through efficient people management practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of HR processes, aligned with company policies, customer requirements and group standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage the full administrative employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to termination.
- Ensure the correct management of admissions, employment contracts, contract amendments, holidays, absences, time banks and exits.
- Ensure compliance with Portuguese labour legislation and Nilorn’s internal policies.
2. Recruitment and Onboarding
- Conduct

- end recruitment processes, with a strong focus on industrial, technical and leadership roles. - Define job profiles in close collaboration with managers, perform CV screening, interviews and support the final hiring decision.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor onboarding processes, ensuring a structured and effective integration of new employees.
3. Performance Management and Development
- Implement, monitor and ensure the correct application of the performance evaluation system.
- Support managers in goal setting, continuous feedback and individual development plans.
- Identify training needs, structure annual training plans, monitor execution and evaluate the impact of training actions.
4. Employee Relations and Labour Management
- Act as the main HR point of contact for employees and managers on labour and people management matters.
- Identify, follow up and mediate conflict situations, disciplinary processes and sensitive cases, ensuring fairness, consistency and legal compliance.
- Promote a healthy working environment aligned with Nilorn’s values and culture.
5. Payroll Management
- Fully execute the payroll process, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, allowances, shift premiums, overtime and other salary components.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, confidentiality of information and strict adherence to payment deadlines.
- Prepare payroll reports, bank transfer files and promote efficiency and automation of
- related processes. - Submit the Monthly Remuneration Declaration (DMR).
6. HR Administration and Reporting
- Manage and keep HR data updated in internal systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Monitor and analyse HR indicators, preparing regular reports for Management and the Nilorn Group.
- Support

7. Policy Implementation and Legal Compliance
- Implement, ensure compliance with and propose improvements to HR policies and procedures.
- Monitor changes in labour legislation and ensure their correct application within the company.
- Ensure HR processes comply with legal, contractual and internal requirements.
8. Social Audits and Compliance
- Prepare, accompany and support internal and external social audits (e. g. SMETA, customer audits and audits by other entities).
- Ensure the organisation, updating and availability of all required legal, labour and social documentation.
- Monitor and ensure timely closure of corrective action plans resulting from audits.
9. Internal Communication and Engagement
- Analyse results from employee satisfaction and engagement surveys.
- Support the definition and
- up of action plans resulting from survey outcomes. - Ensure clear, transparent and consistent communication, strengthening employee trust and engagement.
10. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- Support the implementation, monitoring and reporting of corporate social responsibility initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with good labour and social practices, in line with customer and group requirements.
11. GDPR and Data Protection
- Ensure the correct application of personal data protection procedures within Human Resources.
- Guarantee confidentiality, integrity and proper management of sensitive employee information.
12. Continuous Improvement and HR Support
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HR processes, practices and tools.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at process optimisation and enhancement of the employee experience, aligned with Nilorn Group guidelines.
Required skills:
Technical Skills:
- Strong and proven knowledge of Human Resources operational processes, including employee lifecycle administration, recruitment and onboarding, performance management, payroll processing and labour relations, in an industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Portuguese labour legislation, social security requirements and related obligations, with the ability to apply them consistently and correctly in daily HR operations.
- Hands-on experience in full payroll processing, including salary calculations, shift premiums, overtime, allowances, absences, and submission of mandatory legal declarations (e. g. DMR), ensuring accuracy, compliance and adherence to deadlines.
- Ability to manage, maintain and ensure the accuracy of employee master data, contractual information and HR documentation within HRIS and ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
- Experience in preparing, analysing and validating HR data and reports to support management
- making, including workforce data, absenteeism, turnover and training records. - Solid experience in social compliance and social audit processes (e. g. SMETA, customer social audits), including audit preparation, document control, employee data validation and
- up of corrective action plans. - Ability to support internal and external audits related to labour, social compliance and HR processes, ensuring availability, accuracy and consistency of required documentation.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR requirements applied to Human Resources, with the ability to implement and monitor data protection practices related to employee and payroll information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Outlook, Excel, Word and Power
Point), with strong Excel skills for data analysis, payroll support and HR reporting. - High level of accuracy, attention to detail and responsibility when handling sensitive HR, payroll and employee data.

- Flexibility and availability to interact with external entities (e. g. auditors, consultants, authorities) and support audit processes when required.
- Ability to make operational HR decisions within the scope of the role, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements and business objectives. .
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written (mandatory).
- Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
Education and Experience:
- Completion of secondary education or equivalent qualification is required.
- Higher education in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Management, Law, Sociology or other relevant fields is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in payroll processing, labour relations and social compliance audits is highly valued.
- Experience working in
- functional and international environments is considered a strong advantage.
