We are looking for a talented and passionate Human Resources Generalist to join our
- opening team at Andaz Lisbon.

Summary

Expected to open in Q3 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital – and it will represent a key milestone in Hyatt’s continued brand growth in Southern Europe. Located in the center of Lisbon’s bustling Baixa district along Rua Augusta, the hotel will comprise five buildings, including the historic Banco Português de Investimento (BPI). The central building will feature 170 guestrooms, with the surrounding satellite buildings offering various private suites. This urban resort aims to provide guests an authentic Lisbon experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Employee Relations: Assist management with HR issues, address employee concerns, and facilitate transfer requests.
• Recruitment and Hiring: Support hiring processes, conduct applicant screenings, reference and background checks, and maintain applicant and orientation logs.
• Onboarding: Help onboard new employees, ensuring smooth integration into the hotel’s culture and operations.
• Record Maintenance: Manage personnel files and ensure compliance with legal standards, supporting payroll records processing.
• Training and Development: Assist with training new hires on HR policies and participate in HR projects as a subject matter expert.
• Compliance: Ensure all HR processes adhere to company policies and legal requirements.
• Administrative Support: Generate HR reports, manage filing systems, and handle confidential information.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in HR, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Skills: Strong
  - solving, excellent communication, and ability to foster positive relationships.
