Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to support our growing European Business Solution Hub in Lisbon. You will be the sole HR resource
- site, partnering closely with the operational leaders (team leads, supervisors, and department heads) across Customer Service, Claims Handling, Buyer Support, Data & Insights, and Pricing.

This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth employee lifecycle, fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting business growth, and driving HR processes in alignment with both local labour regulations and broader company strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Employee Relations

• Serve as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries and support for approximately 80–120 employees.
• Manage employee relations, supporting team leads and supervisors in resolving performance, behavioural, or conflict issues.
• Support the Finance Director with contract preparation, employment documentation, and payroll inputs.

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Coordinate recruitment processes with hiring managers.
• Organise and conduct local onboarding for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the Lisbon EBSH.
• Manage probation reviews and coordinate performance
  - ins with managers.

HR Administration & Compliance

• Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with Portuguese labour law.
• Ensure policies and practices are up to date and aligned with local legal requirements.
• Track absences, leave, and employee data: support with HR reporting and audits as needed.

People Development & Culture

• Support learning and development initiatives by helping identify training needs and facilitating learning opportunities.
• Partner with management to drive engagement, internal communications, and employee satisfaction.
• Promote a strong team culture aligned with company values in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• 4+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a
  - paced,
  - oriented environment.
• Strong understanding of Portuguese labour law and HR best practices.
• Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating with remote or international stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in Portuguese and English .
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with
  - on HR execution.
