Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to support our growing European Business Solution Hub in Lisbon. You will be the sole HR resource
- site, partnering closely with the operational leaders (team leads, supervisors, and department heads) across Customer Service, Claims Handling, Buyer Support, Data & Insights, and Pricing.
This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth employee lifecycle, fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting business growth, and driving HR processes in alignment with both local labour regulations and broader company strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Employee Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries and support for approximately 80–120 employees.
- Manage employee relations, supporting team leads and supervisors in resolving performance, behavioural, or conflict issues.
- Support the Finance Director with contract preparation, employment documentation, and payroll inputs.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment processes with hiring managers.
- Organise and conduct local onboarding for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the Lisbon EBSH.
- Manage probation reviews and coordinate performance
- ins with managers.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with Portuguese labour law.
- Ensure policies and practices are up to date and aligned with local legal requirements.
- Track absences, leave, and employee data: support with HR reporting and audits as needed.
People Development & Culture
- Support learning and development initiatives by helping identify training needs and facilitating learning opportunities.
- Partner with management to drive engagement, internal communications, and employee satisfaction.
- Promote a strong team culture aligned with company values in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- 4+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a
- paced,
- oriented environment. - Strong understanding of Portuguese labour law and HR best practices.
- Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating with remote or international stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in Portuguese and English .
