EMC High Voltage (Redes AT Sul) department is looking for a HV Grid Maintenance Engineer.
What you will do
- Join the High Voltage Grid maintenance team, which is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the assets that make up the High Voltage Grid - overhead and underground lines;
- Support teams in complying with the supplementary preventive inspection plan and in the operation of
- voltage networks; - Support the team in breakdown situations as well as in the scope of
- voltage network assistance availability; - Monitor asset performance to identify failure symptoms;
- Support the team in assessing observed maintenance needs and finding solutions, generating concrete,
- founded proposals with estimated value; - Support the team in the project budgeting and scheduling phases, whether for Preventive or Corrective Maintenance work, as well as Urgent or Planned Investment resulting from rehabilitation or improvement proposals;
- Monitor and manage preventive maintenance orders (systematic, conditional, and predictive) as outlined in the Company's Project Plan;
- Evaluate and respond to external requests for opinions, as well as requests for clarification or complaints from customers;
- Assist in managing the processes for restoring compliance of HV lines;
- Oversee the commissioning of new facilities in the
- commissioning phase; - Be an integral and active part of a team that promotes collaboration and mutual assistance to achieve goals.
What are we looking for
- Graduate or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering;
- We value knowledge and professional experience of up to two years in electrical grid investment or maintenance roles;
- Driver’s license and availability for frequent travel (required);
- Residence in Portugal, preferably near the workplace;
- Motivation and availability to join the rotating Availability Shift to assist with HV network failures;
- Focus on problem analysis and resolution, agility and speed, and the ability to develop solutions and proposals;
- Commitment to safety from operations to maintenance,
- control/self-confidence, and customer orientation (internal and external), ensuring compliance with procedures and processes, are all crucial skills for performing this role.
