Your tasks and responsibilities

• Leading and managing a team of engineers: hiring, training, and managing a team of virtualization professionals, setting goals, coaching, and managing performance.
• Developing virtualization strategies aligned with Siemens Healthineers goals; analyzing current systems, identifying gaps, and designing solutions.
• Product development: designing, architecting, and developing virtualization services to support Siemens Healthineers applications.
• Managing virtualization budgets: monitoring expenses, identifying cost savings, and managing vendor contracts.
• Ensuring compliance with Siemens Healthineers IT compliance system.
• Managing

  - day operations of the Hybrid Cloud Virtualization team, including incidents and change requests.
• Documentation: developing and maintaining architectures, SOPs, and system designs.
• Collaboration with architects, Dev
  Ops engineers, and infrastructure teams to deploy Hybrid Cloud solutions from development to production.
• Staying current with emerging technologies related to virtualization platforms.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor-'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of IT experience, with the most recent 10 years in virtualization platforms.
• Deep knowledge of virtualization platforms (e. g. , VMware v
  Sphere, v
  Cloud Director, NSX-T, VMware Cloud Foundation, Microsoft Hyper-V, Azure Local/Stack HCI, Azure VMware Solution, Red Hat Open
  Shift, Proxmox).
• Experience managing and leading technical teams.
• Strong
  - solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
