Hybrid Cloud Virtualization Manager (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Hybrid Cloud Virtualization Manager to lead a team of engineers and drive virtualization strategy within Siemens Healthineers.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Leading and managing a team of engineers: hire, train, and manage virtualization professionals; set goals, provide feedback, coach, develop team members, and manage performance.
• Developing virtualization strategies that align with Siemens Healthineers goals; analyze current systems, identify gaps, design solutions to optimize processes.
• Product development: design, architect, and develop virtualization services to support Siemens Healthineers applications; translate business requirements into services/products.
• Managing virtualization budgets: monitor expenses, identify cost savings, manage vendor contracts to stay within budget.
• Ensuring compliance with Siemens Healthineers IT compliance system.
• Managing

  - day operations of the Hybrid Cloud Virtualization team, including incident response and change requests.
• Documentation: develop and maintain product architectures, SOPs, and system designs.
• Collaboration with architects, Dev
  Ops, and infrastructure teams to deploy Hybrid Cloud solutions from development to production.
• Staying current with emerging technologies related to virtualization platforms; evaluate new solutions and participate in conferences.

Preferred background

• Proven track record in designing and building virtualization solutions in
  - premises and cloud environments.
• Expertise in requirements engineering; translating business language into technical solutions.
• Experience working in an agile environment; scoping and defining work to provide transparency into progress and outcomes.
• Ability to interact with customers and stakeholders, establishing trust and managing timelines

• Technical leadership and people management experience leading a team of 8-10 technical experts.

Required skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of IT experience with the last 10 in virtualization.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms: VMware v
  Sphere, v
  Cloud Director, NSX-T, VMware Cloud Foundation, Microsoft Hyper-V, Azure Stack HCI, Azure VMware Solution, Red Hat Open
  Shift, Proxmox.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Strong
  - solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.
