Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a team of engineers: hiring, training, setting goals, providing feedback, coaching and developing team members, and managing performance.
- Developing Virtualization strategies that align with Siemens Healthineers goals and objectives, analyzing current systems, identifying gaps, and designing solutions that optimize existing processes.
- Product development: managing activity including designing, architecting, and developing virtualization services to support Siemens Healthineers applications, analyzing business requirements and designing related services/products.
- Managing Virtualization budgets: ensuring costs are optimized and within budget constraints, monitoring expenses, identifying cost savings, and managing vendor contracts.
- Ensuring compliance: ensuring Hybrid cloud Virtualization services are compliant with Siemens Healthineers IT compliance system.
- Managing Operations: managing day‑to‑day operations of the Hybrid cloud Virtualization team, responding to incidents, and implementing change requests.
- Documentation: ensuring product documentation such as architectures, SOPs, system design are developed and maintained.
- Collaboration: collaborating with architects, Dev
Ops engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure a seamless deployment of all Hybrid cloud solutions from development to production. - Staying current with emerging technologies related to virtualization platform: researching and evaluating new solutions, attending conferences and industry events, and networking with other professionals.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in designing and building virtualization solutions in both on‑premises and cloud environments.
- Expert at requirement engineering, translating business language into technical solutions.
- Experience working in an agile environment, scoping and defining team work to provide transparency into progress and outcomes.
- Ability to interact with customers and stakeholders on eye level, establishing trustful relationships, managing timelines and commitments end‑to‑end.
- Technical leadership and people management experience leading a team of 8–10 technical experts.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Overall 15+ years experience in IT, with recent 10 years in Virtualization platform.
- Deep knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware v
Sphere, v
Cloud Director, NSX‑T, VMware Cloud Foundation, Microsoft Hyper‑V, Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI), Azure VMware Solution, Red
Hat Open
Shift, Proxmox. - Experience managing and leading technical teams.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management principles.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.
