About the Role
We are looking for a
- oriented and proactive Building Hydraulics Engineer to join our Lisbon office. This role is critical to ensure that hydraulic, water supply, fire protection, and drainage systems in industrial and
- critical facilities are designed, executed, and licensed in compliance with regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed designs, including reports, specifications, and associated drawings from concept to construction.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, best practices, and industry standards.
- Design systems including:
- Water-based fire protection systems (wet and
- action sprinklers, exterior fire rings for hydrants); - Exterior potable/drinking water supply networks;
- Domestic cold, hot, and return water networks;
- Recycled and
- potable water supply systems; - Wastewater and rainwater drainage networks;
- Rainwater harvesting systems;
- Indirect drainage networks.
- Evaluate the sustainability and environmental impact of projects.
- Manage licensing and execution processes with Authorities having jurisdiction.
- Develop tools and working methodologies to improve results and productivity.
- Efficiently manage resources to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
Required Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum experience per level:
Junior level: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in building hydraulics design for industrial or
- critical facilities.
Intermediate to Senior level: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in the same field.
- Autonomy in licensing and execution processes; experience liaising with Local Authorities.
- Expertise in Auto
CAD and ACC platform. - Good knowledge of EN 12845 and NFPA 13 standards.
- Familiarity with LEED and BREEAM programs.
- Excellent
- solving, communication, and teamwork skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory); other languages are an advantage.
