Redbridge International School is seeking an experienced and dynamic IB Biology and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) Teacher to join our expanding Secondary team. The successful candidate will inspire curiosity in the sciences and contribute to the continued development of our IB Diploma Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach IB Diploma Biology and ESS to a high standard.
• Plan and deliver engaging, practical and inquiry based science lessons.
• Develop laboratory investigations and provide strong support for scientific skills and experimental work.
• Guide students through Internal Assessments and prepare them effectively for IB examinations.
• Participate in curriculum design, collaborative planning and cross curriculum STEM initiatives.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and communicate progress effectively to students and families.
• Contribute to the pastoral care and holistic development of students.
• Engage in whole school CPD and contribute to a culture of professional reflection, collaboration and innovation.
• Uphold all school expectations relating to safeguarding, laboratory safety, inclusion and academic integrity.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science or a related field.
• PGCE, recognised teaching diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in the IB Diploma Programme.
• Strong understanding of IB pedagogy and scientific inquiry approaches.
• Experience working in international settings and supporting multilingual learners is an advantage.
• Excellent organisational, practical laboratory and communication skills.
• Commitment to environmental education and the IB ethos of global citizenship.
