Penta Consulting are currently supporting a key client as they are looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Systems Administrator to support and optimise a
- scale data centre environment. If you thrive in complex technical ecosystems, enjoy solving problems at scale, and have deep experience with Dell hardware, Linux, and GPU‑accelerated systems, this role will keep you challenged and growing.

Strong hands‑on experience with Dell Power
Edge servers (R/XE models) and Open
Manage Enterprise.

Experience working in large data centre environments, with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.

• Deep understanding of GPU hardware (configuration, health monitoring, performance tuning, NVLink, Infinity Fabric).
• Experience with NVIDIA Bright Cluster Manager or similar cluster management tools.
• Solid networking fundamentals:
• Layer 2 switching
• VLAN configuration
• TCP/IP protocols
• Network monitoring and best practices
• Strong Linux administration skills (Red Hat, Ubuntu):
• Installation
• Hardening
• Patch management and updates

Administration & Operations

• Monitor, review, and manage Dell infrastructure across Power
  Edge R/XE platforms.
• Handle and prioritise user requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Review and analyse system log files to identify issues and trends.
• Produce regular operational and performance reports.

Change & Problem Management

• Support change management processes, including planning, documentation, and execution.
• Participate in post‑implementation reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Evaluate proposed changes and provide expert recommendations.
• Lead or contribute to problem management activities to prevent recurring issues.
