The team
You will join the Income Tax team within the Securities Team, responsible for managing and accounting for coupons, reimbursements, and monitoring operations until settlement.
The team also manages tax document content, recovers withholding at source under double taxation agreements, and handles reporting for QI and FFI agreements.
Excitingly, you'll help launch this activity from scratch in Lisbon, working closely with our experienced team in Switzerland.
The position is based in Lisbon, Portugal (Av. Dom João II 43, 1990-084 Lisboa, Portugal).
Your responsibilities
- Control and accounting of coupons and reimbursements on awarded markets
- Management of optional dividends, including mailing and instructions for custodians
- Monitoring operations, following up with custodians, tracking cash breaks
- Annual review for US tax reclassification
- Ensuring proper application of taxes charged to clients
- Communicating with bank clients
- Tax reconciliations to produce accurate fiscal reports for client banks
- Participating in company projects
- Driving process improvements and continuous enhancement
- Training new colleagues as needed
