The team

You will join the Income Tax team within the Securities Team, responsible for managing and accounting for coupons, reimbursements, and monitoring operations until settlement.

The Income Tax team also handles tax document content, recovery of withholding at source under double taxation agreements, and reporting related to QI and FFI agreements.

Here’s the exciting part: you’ll help launch this activity from scratch in Lisbon, working closely with our experienced team in Switzerland.

The role is based in Lisbon, Portugal (Av. Dom João II 43, 1990-084 Lisboa).

Your responsibilities

• Control and accounting of coupons and reimbursements in target markets
• Management of optional dividends, including mailing and instructions for custodians
• Monitoring operations,
  - ups with custodians, and tracking cash breaks
• Annual review for US tax reclassification
• Ensuring proper application of taxes charged to clients
• Communicating with bank clients
• Tax reconciliations to ensure accurate fiscal reports for clients’ banks
• Participating in company projects
• Driving process improvements (continuous improvement)
• Training new colleagues as needed
