Job Description
The Information security Analyst is responsible for improving the overall security posture of the organization. This person will evaluate, test and document security solutions and controls, and work closely with other security team members to remediate risk while ensuring the business is able to innovate.
The Information Security Analyst must continually adapt to stay ahead of cyber attackers and stay up to date on the latest methods attackers use to infiltrate computer systems. An Analyst in this role are expected to consistently learn and grow. This is not a passive career opportunity, but rather one that requires a passion for security and rigor to protect the business.
The Information security analyst will collaborate with internal and external audit teams, along with technology management and business stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement technical systems and monitor them for unusual and suspicious activity across a wide range of products.
- Respond to and handle service and escalation tickets within SLA expectations.
- Participate regularly in change project and change management meetings.
- Participate in technical and
- technical projects requiring information security oversight and to ensure policies, procedures and standards are met. - Work in tandem with architects, the security operations center (SOC), incident responders (in cases of anomalous activity and host compromise), and technology infrastructure and development team members.
- Maintain vendor management standards, questionnaires and documentation to adhere to regulatory compliance.
- Interface with internal and external auditors for risk assessments.
- Recommend new security solutions as well as effective improvements to existing security controls that do not negatively impact business innovation.
- Conduct performance testing to stress the limitations of security solutions while at the same time ensuring business innovation and

- day processes are not negatively impacted. - Serve as a liaison for the security team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of information security experience (or combination of 3 to 5 years of IT system administration with security).
- Expertise in incident response and system monitoring and analysis.
- Experience with compliance requirements (GLBA, PCI, HIPAA, SOX, etc. ).
- Ability to effectively communicate business risk as it relates to information security.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments that protect the business and adhere with compliance and privacy laws.
- Knowledge of multiple computing platforms, including Windows, Linux, Unix, networks and endpoints.
- Technical competence searching for events, creating detections and creating reports in SIEMs such as Splunk, QRadar, Google Chronicle, Azure Sentinel, Elastic, Log
Rhythm, Rapid7, Sumo Logic, or similar products. - Experience validating vulnerabilities and risky findings in security posture and vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Wiz. Io, App
Omni, Defender for Cloud, Defender Vulnerability Management, or other similar products. - Technical experience searching for events in firewall products such as Sonic
Wall, Palo Alto, Cato Networks, Netskope, Zscaler, or similar products. - Experience tracking and validating CIS benchmark controls in Windows
- Experience using Powershell to collect and examine Windows configuration and status data.
- Skilled in meeting vulnerability and penetration testing requirements.
- Experience with change and project management.
- Excellence in communicating business risk from cybersecurity issues.
- Track record of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating effectively.
