Information Technology Manager
We are seeking a
- thinking IT Manager to lead the evolution of our digital workspace environment. This role combines leadership, strategy, and hands‑on expertise in automation and end‑user technologies. You will manage a high‑performing distributed team (Portugal, France, Cyprus) of automation and technology specialists, drive innovation, and ensure our employees benefit from a secure, efficient, and seamless workspace experience. You will be reporting directly to the Group CIO, based in Singapore.
Location: Carnaxide, Portugal (Hybrid – up to 8 days/month remote, 1st month fully on‑site)
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the team of workspace automation, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain the Workspace Automation roadmap.
- Identify opportunities for automation across the organization, analyzing workflows and processes to improve efficiency.
- Design, implement, and oversee automation solutions, ensuring they align with company objectives and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and other departments to integrate automation tools and ensure seamless implementation.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all automation processes and workflows.
- Monitor and report on the performance and effectiveness of automation initiatives, making recommendations for improvements.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and advancements in automation technologies.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on automation tools and best practices.
- Ensure service desk SLA’s are met.
- Actively contribute to increasing the company's resilience against modern security threats.
- Manage IT assets procurement, and maintain the IT inventory up to date.
- Communicate efficiently to the end user the upcoming deployment, migration, new features, and changes.
Important technical skillset to have
- Experience with Jira Service Desk (and/or any service desk).
- Experience with Powershell, Pester and Git
Hub (and/or any other scripting language). - Experience with IAM setup and administration.
- Experience with UEM setup and administration.
- Experience with EDR setup and administration.
- Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
- Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
- Experience with Linux is a plus.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automation technologies, project management, and team leadership, for at least 3 years.
- Experience in supporting remote workers.
- Familiar with user account provisioning and management.
- Experience managing Mac, Windows, and Linux end‑user workstations.
- Hands‑on experience in networking, routing, and switching.
- Knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
- Ability to assign work, coordinate the and to follow up diligently.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with diverse teams across the organization.
