The Difference You Will Make

As our IT Operations Manager, you’ll lead the daily management and continuous improvement of Bauer Media Audio Portugal’s IT systems and infrastructure. You’ll ensure our operations are secure, efficient, and aligned with both local business needs and Group technology standards.

Your leadership will guarantee seamless technology experiences for our teams, while enabling innovation, reliability, and business continuity across all functions.

Your Role

You will manage the IT Operations department, ensuring system availability, performance, and security. You’ll plan, implement, and monitor technological solutions that keep our business connected and protected.

Responsibilities

• Managing and monitoring IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and security.
• Leading the IT Operations team, setting priorities and ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals.
• Defining and controlling the IT Operations budget and annual activity plan, tracking deviations and corrective measures.
• Implementing IT strategies aligned with Group standards and local business needs.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems and application software.
• Conducting system performance analysis and ensuring appropriate monitoring tools are in place.
• Performing regular security tests and internal audits to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Collaborating with other departments to diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting operations.
• Developing and enforcing information security and data protection policies.
• Overseeing device administration, password management, and user access controls.
• Evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
• Providing
  - call and emergency support as required to ensure business continuity.

The Skills You Will Bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure management.
• Proven experience in team leadership and people management.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and operating environments.
• Excellent communication,
  - solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in IT project implementation.
• Knowledge of information security frameworks and data protection regulations.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and
  - based environments.
• Experience managing budgets and technology suppliers.

Working Pattern/Location

Hybrid role based in Lisbon (1 remote day per week between Tuesday and Thursday).
