Summary

The Infrastructure & Service Engineer is responsible for delivering technology services to Elementis’ employees globally, ensuring effective daily operations. This includes a strong understanding of hardware and software, infrastructure such as servers, network devices, data centres, and Microsoft 365 configuration and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, maintenance, and improvements to global infrastructure in collaboration with the Infrastructure and Service Delivery Specialists.
• Ensure a robust service delivery model that prioritizes tickets globally, facilitating continuous support beyond standard working hours.
• Resolve issues across the IT spectrum, partnering with various functions to ensure effective technology use.
• Share insights to improve services, including budgeting for equipment upgrades.
• Oversee infrastructure projects to enhance regional services, considering business impact.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting service quality, including troubleshooting and security incidents.
• Collaborate with service providers for continuous service improvement.

Infrastructure Management

• Configure and manage
  - house infrastructure components.
• Work with specialists and
  - party providers on infrastructure elements including networks, servers, and security.
• Develop strategic plans for infrastructure evolution, adopting new technologies and partnering with MSPs.

Risk and Controls

• Assess infrastructure risks and implement mitigations.
• Ensure backup and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.

Best Practices

• Stay updated on service and infrastructure trends and best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and logs.
• Collaborate closely with security teams on incidents and compliance.

Decision Making

Support IT infrastructure and service decisions, acting as a key partner for team leaders to enhance global service quality.

Position Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; professional experience of 3+ years.
• Fluency in English, with availability for occasional travel to other sites.
