The Role
As we scale operations, we are seeking a
- on Innovation Specialist – Soil Bioproducts (Biofertiliser + Biochar Expert) to support and optimize the full production process, from concept to final product. This role bridges science and practice, ensuring that our technologies deliver measurable impact on soil systems and agricultural sustainability.
If you bring experience with carbon credit mechanisms —such as carbon sequestration accounting, certification standards, or emissions reduction frameworks—you will receive additional compensation to reflect this valuable expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and optimize production processes for biofertilisers and biochar , from feedstock selection to final formulation.
Collaborate with R&D to refine microbial consortia, nutrient blends, and pyrolysis parameters.
Ensure product quality, consistency, and compliance with agronomic regulations and standards.
Develop scalable and
- efficient manufacturing protocols.
Support pilot trials, lab validations, and field testing of new products.
Contribute to the design and operation of
- site or outsourced production systems.
Provide technical input on packaging, storage,
- life, and application methods.
Collaborate with product and marketing teams to deliver technical documentation and training.
(If applicable) Guide the integration of carbon credit methodologies into biochar production, including life cycle analysis (LCA), MRV, and certification processes.
Required Qualifications
Degree in Agronomy, Microbiology, Environmental Engineering, Soil Science, or related fields.
3–8 years of experience in biofertiliser or biochar production, agronomy, soil science, or a related area.
Strong knowledge of microbial
- inputs, composting, and/or pyrolysis technologies.
Experience in lab, pilot plant, or
- scale production environments.
Familiarity with organic and regenerative agriculture standards (e. g. OMRI, EU, USDA).
Strong
- solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and work independently.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of carbon credit markets , especially
- related standards.
Experience in carbon sequestration modeling, MRV, and emissions tracking.
Ability to contribute to certification, documentation, and audit readiness for
- related revenue streams.
