Position Overview
This inside sales account manager will manage a specified sales territory, optimize organic and new‑business growth, and minimize erosion through proactive account management and a targeted sales plan. The role requires quickly identifying customer needs or business opportunities, directing them to the appropriate department within H. B. Fuller, and providing exceptional service and sales skill.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute 20‑30 outbound calls each day.
- Record all customer conversations in the CRM.
- Meet targeted levels of customer meetings.
- Manage sales at existing accounts and develop new business.
- Position H. B. Fuller as a partner by providing professional sales representation and excellent service.
- Gain customer support and acceptance through technical discussions to determine requirements and expectations, then explore product and service solutions.
- Influence and gain alignment with external and internal key decision makers at all organizational levels.
- Identify, develop, and close new business using tools such as Linked
In, cold calling, market research, and lead sourcing. - Determine business requirements through verbal and written communication.
- Identify decision makers and influencers, and nurture relationships.
- Develop, enter, and update opportunity process in the CRM.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years professional sales experience, driving new‑business opportunities with multiple technical product lines/families, preferably in the industrial chemical industry.
- Flawless English and German language ability with outstanding communication and presentation skills; Spanish, French, and Portuguese language skills are a strong plus.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience (Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field).
- Ability to influence via phone, identify decision makers, and close sales.
- Proven ability to sell at all levels within organizations.
- Experience working independently and in a team environment.
- Well organized, process and data driven, producing accurate and timely reports.
