About the role – What’s your purpose?Signal AI, the AI‑powered platform for corporate reputation, is looking for an Analytics Principal with a strong strategic edge. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for leading projects and setting the direction of reports that help our C‑suite clients at Fortune 500 companies understand their reputation and identify risks. You’ll access our proprietary scoring engine and first‑of‑its‑kind Reputation and Risk platforms, uncover the "signals in the noise" to explain those scores, and create strategic insight reports for senior executives.
It’s the perfect opportunity for people who love diving into data, understand exciting stories to tell, and know how to present them with wit and personality. Your job is not to build Python scripts;
it is to analyze what factors drive corporate reputation and contextualise the "why" behind the data.
In this role you’ll lead projects, set the direction of the analysis, design approaches, workshop insights with analysts, tie everything together, and ensure the output is impactful. You’ll pull, plot, and visualise data to guide your team and have the instinct to select, optimise, change, redirect, and innovate. You’ll present findings to executive‑level clients, speak confidently to the story you’re telling, and explain why it matters.
Who are we looking for?- You’ve spent the last few years of your career in a research, analytics, and/or strategy function, preferably at an agency or consultancy.
- You have experience managing people, overseeing a team, and managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- You love transforming data into strategic insights and presenting your findings to senior executives.
- You have strong design and storytelling skills and an instinct for what clients will find impactful.
- You have excellent critical‑thinking and analytical skills, and an impeccable instinct on how to visualise and lay out data.
- You have excellent presentation skills and a strong presence;
you can present your work to C‑suite clients and lead internal discussions. - You have a global outlook and sensitivity to how media and culture intersect with corporate reputation and risks.
- You want to work on the next wave of insights, using transformational AI technology to drive business intelligence forward.
- You’re innovative, collaborative, and proactive—you roll up your sleeves to problem‑solve, improve analytical approaches, or create new solutions.
- You’re hungry to be part of a fast‑growing company that values innovation and initiative.
- Passion for and experience diving into data: you enjoy extracting insights that tell stories executives don’t already know.
- Analytical mind with a strategic edge: you unveil the "So what? " behind the "what".
- Excel, data, and mathematical skills to slice and dice the data into pivot views, design and execute scoring methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry‑standard social listening/media monitoring tools, such as Tableau, Looker, Meltwater, or Brandwatch.
- Strong critical‑thinking skills to take an ambiguous ask, break down how to answer it, and direct a team of analysts.
- Strong storytelling skills to craft a compelling, actionable story for senior executives.
- Copywriting skills to help editorialise and TL;
DR your research. - Strong data visualisation skills and an aesthetic sense to select the right visualisations using Power
Point, Canva, etc. - Excellent presentation skills and presence: confident, personable, fluent, and experienced presenting to senior clients and C‑suite executives.
- Impeccable project management skills—lead multiple projects, manage deadlines, and communicate expectations with clients and stakeholders.
- A can‑do attitude and future‑looking mindset—proactive, energetic, and unafraid to roll up sleeves to problem‑solve or create solutions.
- Strong people management skills—experience managing multiple direct reports.
- A collaborative spirit—collaborate with peers within the team and cross‑functionally with Customer Success, Sales, or Product.
