Institutional Credit Analyst Trainee – BNP Paribas CIB

Join BNP Paribas CIB’s Institutional Credit Analysts Team within Financial Institutions Coverage in Global Banking.

Responsibilities

• Analyze one‑off requests and formalise recommendations to Delegation Holders for banks.
• Analyze the structure, covenants and risk mitigants of contemplated facilities.
• Assess the creditworthiness of counterparties based on information from BNPP's systems.
• Assess risk appetite in terms of amount and tenor, and present the recommendation to the RISK Delegation Holder.
• Manage and record credit decisions for Trade & Fronting.
• Notify credit decisions to business lines and credit stakeholders by email.
• Record approvals and transactions, book facilities in the MFI workflow tool according to defined thresholds.
• Prepare draft minutes and submit them to the Delegation Holder through the MFI workflow tool.
• Archive and classify credit approvals in paper format.
• Continuously monitor the portfolio of counterparties together with Credit Risk Control, monitoring excesses, anticipating risks, and detecting any credit issues that may require a specific review.
• Contribute to periodic and ad‑hoc portfolio review and risk reporting for counterparties under scope.
• Ensure that the counterparty data management is conducted well, namely onboarding, collection of documents, and commensurate limits update.

Qualifications

• Bachelor (or higher) in Economics, Finance, or related fields.
• Great communication skills with fluency in English (oral and written).
• Critical thinking with the ability to develop and adapt a process.
• Analytical ability with an innovative problem‑solving approach.
