Insurance / Employee Benefits Placement Specialist Porto

Overview

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Placement team at Marsh. This role will be based in Porto or Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. Reporting to the Placement Leader, this role aims to develop and execute initiatives to implement the Placement strategy defined for Marsh and Mercer. The selected candidate will negotiate with national and international insurance markets for client programs, with a special focus on Employee Benefits solutions. The Placement Specialist will collaborate with the Marsh Mc
Lennan Group, particularly with Client Management and Sales teams, to create the best value proposition for clients.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a market strategy for each placement.
• Conduct detailed analysis of existing insurance programs, identifying improvement opportunities and optimization recommendations.
• Negotiate the best solutions in terms of pricing, coverage, and limits with insurance markets.
• Develop close,
  - based relationships with insurance markets.
• Implement initiatives that are part of the Placement strategic plan.
• Support and liaise with internal teams to find the best solutions for client needs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on market trends and best practices in Employee Benefits and share knowledge with other teams.

What you need to have

• Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in the Insurance sector (Broker/Insurer), with a focus on Employee Benefits.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of the insurance market, particularly in social benefits policies (Health, Life, Personal Accident).
• Fluent English (minimum C1); knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate it clearly.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate across areas and levels.
