INTERNATIONAL TRADE SPECIALIST (Origin and Preferences) (M/F/D)

This position is part of the Global Preference Management team and is responsible for ensuring compliance with EU preferential origin regulations across all European locations. The role plays a key part in the centralized management of supplier declarations and in optimizing the preferential status of materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and track supplier declarations (long-term supplier declarations) for all EU locations;
• Review and validate incoming supplier declarations for formal and content accuracy according to EU preferential origin regulations;
• Transfer data from supplier declarations into the preference calculation tool;
• Review preference calculations generated by the tool based on SAP data, clarify and correct deviations, and coordinate with the respective plants;
• Control and maintain origin data within SAP;
• Create and send supplier declarations to customers;
• Assess and maintain preferential status of new materials;
• Actively track and support suppliers in issuing valid, positive
  - term declarations in line with legal requirements, optimizing preferential status for the company;
• Ensure compliance with rules of origin in relevant Free Trade Agreements (e. g. , EU-Korea, EU-Japan, Pan-Euro-Med);
• Support internal audits and external inspections related to origin and preference compliance;
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams across the Group.

PROFILE AND SKILLS

• Master degree in Management, Economics, International Trade or related fields;
• Professional experience in origin of goods and EU preferential agreements;
• Strong knowledge of rules of origin, processing lists and cumulation;
• Experience in managing supplier declarations and preferential origin compliance;
• SAP knowledge (preferred);
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, plants and internal teams;
• Fluency in English (written and spoken);
• Proactive,
  - solving and process optimization mindset;
• Interest in the automotive industry and international trade;
• Hybrid or remote work options available.
