Investment Research Analyst
Overview
Join to apply for the Investment Research Analyst role at Mercer. This role is based in Porto or Lisbon and is a hybrid position requiring at least three days in the office per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fund manager due diligence with a broad set of qualitative and quantitative considerations, with a special focus on infrastructure.
- Work with local and onshore teams to produce manager research deliverables.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in leading the manager research vertical.
- Contribute to investment
- making and the
- selection processes. - Maintain proprietary databases and ensure they are up to date.
- Monitor portfolio performance and market trends.
- Develop reports for internal use and external client presentations.
What you need to have
- Fluent English level (C1/C2).
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field.
- Basic knowledge of private markets asset classes (including Private Equity, Private Debt, Infrastructure, Real Estate) is preferred.
- Experience in global markets with exposure to alternative asset classes.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic,
- performing team and manage your own tasks and projects. - Effective communication skills to engage with various teams across Mercer and collaboratively solve problems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and
- oriented with ability to collaborate and build positive working relationships across the organization. - Strong critical thinking skills to navigate and resolve challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other core Microsoft Office applications.

- Research experience with asset management firms.
- CFA/CAIA Charter holder or progress towards CFA/CAIA at advanced levels is preferred.
