We are hiring an Io
T Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a
- focused team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery.
Location
This is a remote role, managing a team in one of three regions: Americas, EMEA, or APAC. You must be located in one of these regions to oversee the team spanning multiple time zones.

- critical control systems, gateways, and appliances that meet high security and quality standards. We aim to bring this level of security to broader consumer electronics and device markets.
Our Field Engineers are thought leaders in embedded Linux strategy and delivery, passionate about solving complex problems, and helping customers achieve technical and business goals. They advocate for open source and connected devices, especially in edge computing. They also mentor colleagues to deepen their technical skills and understanding of customer business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Field engineers across Presales and Professional Services.
- Help solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and serving as a trusted advisor.
- Work remotely within a single major time zone.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing career guidance.
- Monitor and improve team health indicators.
- Implement disciplined engineering processes.
- Represent your team and products to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Promote best engineering and organizational practices.
- Plan and track progress on goals and projects.
- Collaborate with other leaders as part of the leadership team.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong academic background from high school through university.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux (e. g. , Yocto).
- Deep Linux experience, preferably with Debian or Ubuntu.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience managing small teams.
- Customer engagement experience.
- Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
- Result-driven with a commitment to meeting goals.
- Ability to communicate technical benefits to business stakeholders.
- Quick learner and humble in approach.
Additional Desirable Traits
RTOS experience, multilingual skills, and prior remote, diverse, distributed work experience are a plus.
