What you’ll do

The purpose of this role is to plan and design the best IP/MPLS transport network for all Vodafone services.

Key accountabilities:

1. Plan and design IP/MPLS networks for
   - capacity transport, ensuring optimal performance and security.
2. Collaborate with
   - functional teams to define network requirements and develop effective solutions, including but not limited to mobile/fixed network aggregation, business services, and internet routing.
3. Conduct network assessments and capacity planning to accommodate future growth and technological advancements; develop and manage deployment plans.
4. Stay updated with the latest networking technologies, protocols, and trends to provide proactive solutions.

Who you are

1. Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Mandatory fluency in English, both spoken and written.
3. Cisco/Nokia certifications are valued but not mandatory.
4. A minimum of 5 years of
   - on experience in IP network engineering, specifically with IP/MPLS networks.
5. In-depth knowledge and experience with Cisco and Nokia networking equipment, with a focus on
   - end platforms preferred.
6. Strong understanding of networking protocols, including ISIS, BGP, MPLS, Qo
   S, MPLS/SR-TE, L2VPN/EVPN.
7. Strong analytical and
   - solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
8. Experience working with
   - country teams.
