IQVIA Key Account Manager

As an IQVIA Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for new business development efforts, build, and nurture
- level relationships, and drive revenue growth by leveraging IQVIA’s full suite of offering solutions to the Pharma Life Science industry in Portugal.
This role combines direct sales execution and collaboration
- functionally with solution experts, service leaders, and delivery teams to craft innovative,
- centric solutions that address the evolving needs of your target clients.
We are seeking a dynamic,
- oriented Executive to join our Commercial team and play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. This individual should understand the Pharma industry and its commercial business challenges and should demonstrate a strong capability to hunt and drive white space sales initiatives.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Seek a hunter with a track record of sales successes in the Pharma industry, who understands the key priorities of the Pharma life science client segment and manages – either indirectly – the activities of a multidisciplinary team to achieve or exceed the revenue and growth goals for the assigned target clients.
- Drive new business in the Pharma Life Science market through direct sales contribution.
- Grow revenue by leveraging the full IQVIA portfolio and identify new business opportunities.
- Drive activities to ensure effective execution against client needs and IQVIA revenue targets. Work with multidisciplinary teams to build client solutions.
- Develop strategy for expanding scope on target client base and existing contracts, identifying new business and
- back opportunities. - Identify and lead the pursuit of targeted new business and contract expansion opportunities within assigned accounts through prospecting and hunting.
- As required, lead negotiations in renewing annual and
- year contracts within assigned accounts. - Manage the overall relationship to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with product/service offering.
- Ensure the involvement of IQVIA resources (marketing, product specialists, consulting, and customer experience) in actively promoting the full IQVIA portfolio of products and consulting services to anticipate and meet clients’ needs.
- Develop and execute account plans and monitor progress; adjust plans to consider new IQVIA product/service offerings and changes to business conditions.
- Train less experienced members of the sales team on account management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, product management, or related roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry; B2B account management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
- Strong understanding of specialty care areas (e. g. , oncology, immunology, rare diseases) – preferred.
- Familiarity with Pharma procurement processes and
- making structures. - Understanding of the IQVIA portfolio or competing offerings – preferred.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Skilled in contract negotiation and managing complex sales cycles.
